Sociology Undergraduate Symposium

The inaugural Sociology Undergraduate Symposium is  take place on TODAY, May 20 in the HUB West Ballroom from 3:30PM to 6:30PM.

Sociology undergraduate students’ work will be on display in the form of a poster or presentation on their research and practica experience.  Come to network with students, faculty, staff, and alumni; learn more about Sociology; get ideas for next year’s symposium; and support your fellow undergraduates!  Please go to our website for more information.

Meeting and Soc Cafe on Monday

We will be announcing the officers for next year and getting everything together for the Sociology Undergraduate Symposium.  The meeting will take place on Monday, May 18, 2009 at 5:30PM in HUB 110.

Lumana in Ghana Event

Join SEC and others for a night of African dancing, music, and cuisine on Wednesday, May 27.  Tickets are $10 each.  You will be able to have a night of fun and win prizes.  If you buy them through the SSA, it will enable us to table at the event and get the word out there about SSA!  E-mail Sophia at sophia.a.chang@gmail.com if you’re interested.

Meeting and Soc Cafe Monday!

We’ll be having our SSA meeting on Monday, April 13 in Suzzallo 335 at 5:30pm.  Come to get involved, gain leadership experience, and meet new people!  We’ll be getting ready for our events (FFL, Soc Cinema, and Sociology Undergraduate Symposium) and have a great time.

Jumpstart your day at Soc Cafe, which will be on the second floor of Condon on Monday from 8am to 3pm.  We’d appreciate a 50-cent donation to keep this going.

Hello, hello!  We’ll be having our meeting on Monday, April 6 in HUB 110 at 5:30pm.  We’ll be getting ready for tabling, our Relationship Games Night, Soc Cinema, and the Sociology Undergraduate Symposium.  This is a great way for you to get involved in the Sociology Department and make friends.  We are also looking for people to fill our leadership positions for next year!  We hope to see you at our meeting.

First Meeting of Spring Quarter
