The application for the Sociology Undergraduate Symposium has now been launched! Go to the application page for more details. The deadline is Saturday, February 28th at 11:59 PM.
This Thursday, January 22 at 5:30pm in HUB 304D, SSA will be having a general meeting to sign the proposal for the undergraduate student lounge in Savery Hall (in the quad… Next year, we’ll be moving back to there), get the details on the soc cinema at NWFF, and discuss the Sociology Major Skills workshop.
This is a great opportunity to get involved and help us better the education of the undergraduates in the Sociology Department. Many of the officers will be graduating at the end of this year and so if you’re interested in leader opportunities, especially for next year, join us. 
SSA will have its first general meeting of the quarter on Thursday, January 8th at 5:30pm in HUB 304D. At the meeting, we’ll set the tone for the quarter, planning our upcoming events, such as Soc Cinema at the Northwest Film Forum and the symposium in May, and handling other issues, such as looking into getting a student lounge in Savery for the next academic year.Join us to get involved!We are also looking for officers to help us coordinate our events and lead SSA next year.
