About SSA
Author: adminWelcome to the UW Sociology Student Association website!
The purpose of the SSA is:
From our Constitution:
“…To develop a strong student-student and student-faculty community within the University of Washington Sociology Department through social, academic, career preparatory, and service events related to Sociology.”
Frankly:
Our purpose is to create community in Sociology, help students to do better in school and to achieve their goals while at the UW, to put on fun events, to learn more about Sociology, to network with each other, to get leadership experience, to prepare for our careers after graduation, to foster communication with the department (professors, administration, grad students), support Sociology projects and initiatives, do outreach in our community, share our skills and to amass new skills.
